Mad Scientist Hair

Warning:  Awkward mirror self-portrait.

Severe Warning:  Very scary, awkward mirror self-portrait.  Proceed at your own peril.

I’ve been wearing my butt-length hair in braids since the warmer weather has hit.  It helps to contain the madness that is my hair.  Still, with the constant wind & humidity, the shorter bits find a way out.  I mentioned my mad scientist hair on Facebook yesterday and wanted to make good on the threat of a pic so here ya go.

*giggling madly in Houston* I get the fly-aways too and my hair isn’t butt length.

You have lovely eyes. I don’t notice your hair, but I find myself looking at your eyes and noticing how bright and full of life they are.

It’s the orneryness that shines through too. LOL. Don’t feel bad, my hair is 3 inches shorter dry after the curls and flyaways set in.

Ah, see, now I know you’re full of crap. ;-)

LOL, too funny! Yeah, you do have lovely eyes.

One of the black –er– African American — women I used to work with always wore her hair pulled back and then a hairpiece at the nape. I asked her how she managed to keep her hair so neat and she said she buys a “hair wax” product. I’ve never tried it, I don’t like the feel of mousse or gel in my hair, especially mixed with sweat and hay particles, so I probably wouldn’t like the wax product, either.

My hair is short, and it just all stands up on it’s ends after getting hit with all this wind. It’s like having a “swirlie”.

I can’t stand any “stuff” in my hair, either. I’d rather stick with my Phyllis Diller look. It fits my personality.

[…] today but it’s good — nothing gross, just having a spunky, energetic day — and  you know I already have plenty of those.  I’ll report back on how my hair does after some time to adjust.  In the meantime, I love […]
